Scouting Report: Jeffrey McCulloch – 2016 Linebakcer

Every talent evaluator loves to mention a players length, but that length means nothing unless a player knows how to use it.

Fortunately, Aldine Davis linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch already knows how to take advantage of the physical gifts he has and it’s one skill that makes him one of the top linebacker prospects in the nation in this recruiting cycle.

Scouting Report: Rashard Lawrence – 2016 Defensive Tackle

I know a lot of people who are critical of scouting hate when the words special or elite get thrown around when describing players. I really don’t care what they think though.

Rashard Lawrence is elite. He is a special prospect. He has the talent to be an immediate difference maker at the college level and that’s extremely rare. So in this case, elite and special fit him and fit him well.

Scouting Report: E.J. Price – 2016 Offensive Tackle

There are some dudes that can walk into a room and don’t even have to say a word to announce themselves as a football player. I imagine that’s what it must be like for E.J. Price wherever he goes. He looks like an offensive lineman is supposed to look like.

He also has all of the tools to play just like coaches want an offensive lineman to play. That’s what makes him one of the top offensive tackles prospects in the country and why he’s heading to The Opening finals after earning an invite to the big event with a great performance at The Opening regional in Atlanta.

Scouting Report: Devin White – 2016 Athlete

You just need to see Devin White with the ball in his hands running away from a defensive back who has the angle on him to know that he is a special athlete.

How that athleticism at his size is going to fit at the next level is yet to be determined, but the running back/linebacker from North Webster High in Springhill, Louisiana is going to find a fit somewhere on the field for a big time college football program.

Scouting Report: Baveon Johnson – 2016 Center

Unique names are not a unique thing in recruiting so a name like Baveon Johnson might not even sniff an all-name team in recruiting. Forget his name though because Johnson is an All-American level talent as an interior lineman.

He proved it with a dominating performance at the The Opening regional camp in Orland and will get to prove it again at The Opening finals in July.

Scouting Report: Jamel Cook – 2016 Safety

Florida State certainly never lacks for talent on the defensive side of the ball and they have done a great job of landing recruits in the secondary that have developed into impact players in the ACC like Jalen Ramsey.

The next in line behind Ramsey is likely 5 star stud safety Derwin James. Following right behind James appears to be 2016 safety commit Jamel Cook.

Cook doesn’t bring the physical intimidation part of the game the same way Ramsey and James do, but he’s a unique talent just like them that should be able to do a lot of great things in the Seminoles defense.

Scouting Report: Jack Jones – 2016 Wide Receiver

No high school has produced more NFL players than Long Beach Poly, which means they are always producing big time talent that is heavily recruited by some of the best college football programs in the nation.

This year’s top prospect out of LBP is Jack Jones, someone who is dynamic when he touches the football and also has the tools to play on the either side of the ball. All of the top programs on the west coast after pursuing him as well as national powers like Florida State and Notre Dame.
